About Nantucket

Located approximately 30 miles south of Cape Cod, Nantucket Island boasts over 80 miles of coastline, nearly all of which are accessible via foot.  The unique geography and fertile marine environment makes Nantucket one of the East’s most productive fishing destinations.  Idyllic inshore flats, sandbars, eel grass beds, and open beaches allow the shore-bound angler numerous and exciting fishing opportunities.  

Rates

Full Day Fishing (5-6 hours)          $250

  • Full day includes: transportation, gas, equipment, beverages, and snacks.  Up to three people.

Fly Casting Lesson          $45

  • 60 minutes of one-on-one saltwater casting technique.

Saltwater Fly Tying Lesson          $45

  • Learn to tie some of Nantucket’s most effective patterns. Materials included. 

Custom Flies          $6-10 per fly

  • Flies that work, tied to last by professional commercial tier. Flies found in select shops all over New England.


 

 

 

What to Bring

Although Great Point Fly Fishing supplies essential gear, it is highly recommended that you bring the following items:

 

  • Polarized Sunglasses
  • Waders
  • Proper clothing  (The temperature changes quickly on Nantucket.  Dress appropriately and bring extra clothing)
  • Sunscreen
  • Camera
  • Food  (Snacks and water are provided)
  • Rain gear
